M Yoga is a home based yoga center, which aims at sharing the benefits of the path of Yoga with people from all walks of life. A dream which took shape, by the coming together of two travelers on this path, Shaila and Sheryl under the guidance of their spiritual Master - M . Feb 2018 was the last month for Sheryl at M Yoga Center, the classes are now solely run by Shaila.
M Yoga will take you on your own personal journey, letting you explore the possibility of bringing about a balance between the body, mind and spirit. The essential balance or connection between the three is what leads one to a healthy body, an inner calm and possibly a glimpse of one's true self.
M Yoga brings to you yoga asanas (postures) which are meant for everyday people, a set of simple sequences which will allow your body to stay flexible and attain a level of health and fitness, pranayama (breathing techniques) that help in improving the breathing process thus generating a great sense of calm and peace, gradually bringing one's health back into check, dhyana (simple meditation techniques) which will then take you further into exploring your own true self.
"My Himalayan master taught me that spirituality was not to be advertised. And spiritual evolution does not happen like a big bang. It’s like the Milky Way. In my case, I was born into a non-Hindu family and at the age of nine someone picked me up and put me on the spiritual path. Though, my parampara (tradition) is kriya yoga I don’t think it suits all aspirants. I propound satsang (company with an assembly of persons who listen to, talk about, and assimilate the highest truth) even between two people. It cuts across barriers of caste and creed. Spiritual evolution is not diverse from regular living. Intervals of solitude are necessary but you cannot shut yourself totally. The world around you is your touchstone to spiritual practice.” - M -
